The price of peace and quiet

A few days ago, I was enjoying a very rare moment of peace and quiet, by myself. Bailey and Avery were miraculously playing with each other. There were no screams, no fits, and no one crawling all over me. In the midst of packing and the stress of moving, it was a surprising oasis in my day. And then I got up and saw this:

Oh well. It was still totally worth it.

I totally understand! Remember our tissue fiasco? Even though it was a mess, it is still amusing to see how kids entertain themselves without adult supervision.

good to know that all kids are the same!

Peace and quiet is always suspicious...unless it's Sophia, where I always come running when she's been quiet for a while, just to find her peacefully reading a book or engaging in another appropriate well-behaved activity. I'm sure one of these days I'll pay for not running when she's quiet.
