Maple Syrup

This month has been a pretty miserable one, but we still got out and did a few fun things. Right now, it's maple syrup season in central New York. Last fall, we were reading a book, and Bailey was curious about maple syrup. We told her when it was maple syrup season we would take her too see. So, a few weekends ago, we visited Beaver Lake Nature Center and did their maple syrup tour. (We took Flat Stanley along with us. He was a project from one of our nieces.)

So, I'm slow with commenting these days, but I'm reading!

I can't believe how big Avery is getting, and I love her crazy hair!

Anyway, sorry for all the stress with residency etc. I definitely can relate to never seeing your husband. That's pretty much how things have been for us the last few months, and it sucks. I think it's important to assure quality family time, and therefore I think you really shouldn't be running around serving others when you need to take care of your own family first. Honestly! I think they even read something like that from the manual in RS last Sunday when we talked about charity. It's important the kids see Mike, and that you do, too and that you take time to stay close as a couple as well as a family. I hope you didn't clean the Church! :)

Well, looks like you got to do something fun although I don't personally care about maple syrup. Haha.

Also, I decided your pants look kind of baggy Kari! Anything I need to know?

That looks interesting, fun and cold. I'm glad you all were able to get out and do something together. I was sad to hear about all of the stress you and the kids have been having while Mike has been away. It's good to see Mike in the pictures too.

Looks fun! I'd love to do that sometime. And I've been hearing a lot about that flat Stanley thing. Interesting.
