Bailey looses a tooth

The time I have been dreading has arrived. Bailey has started to loose her teeth.

I have an irrational fear of loosing my teeth- I even dream about it. So, I was less than excited when in May the dentist pointed out to Bailey that she had some loose teeth. He told her to wiggle them every day, and soon they would fall out.

Bailey took his advice to heart. Morning, noon and night she wiggled that tooth. She was constantly chronicling how much looser it was getting. "Mom, look at it now!" I hated it! It was so gross. And it kept getting grosser the more she wiggled it.

Finally it was hanging on by a mere thread. It was awful. She was excited, and I was nauseated. Mike couldn't take it any longer and finally, in his words, "gave it a quick twist" and it came out. I'm glad he's used to blood and bones because there was no way I was pulling that tooth.

Here is our toothless beauty:

Bailey's first day of first grade

I couldn't have a blog without this post now could I?

Last week, Bailey headed off to first grade. It was tough to get up and get going- I am used to getting up with Elyse at about 8:30 every day, and that's the time we needed to be out the door.

Bailey was really excited about school this year- we are hoping for a great year.

Playing with Sisters

One morning I walked out of the shower to find this:

I wasn't so sure that Elyse was enjoying it, but Bailey and Avery sure were. But then I saw this:

I love it! I hope these three girls are always best friends.

Two Months

Poor third child... I missed a whole month of her life. Here are some pictures I took of two month old Elyse:

I love her smile!

She's been my only baby who loves to suck on her hand. I keep wondering when she's going to find her thumb...

Elyse STILL keeps that tongue out all day. She did it in her ultrasound pictures, and she's still doing it now. I love this baby!

Her two month stats:

  • 12 lb. 9 oz. 84%! That won't last. (:
  • 24 in. 80%

11 Days Old

Time to play catch up...

Since I no longer live by a photographer friend or sister in law, I attempted to take a few newborn pictures myself. She was so tiny!

Bailey is Six!

Bailey was lucky enough to have her Grandma Cindy here for her birthday. She had requested a rainbow cake and I was dreading mixing a frosting all those colors. Lucky for me, Grandma Cindy had the genius idea of using skittles and M&Ms to create our rainbow. It turned out pretty great.

Our Bailey was one spoiled girl this year:

Between all her grandparents and mom and dad, she made out like a bandit. She got a new raincoat and rain boots, but we haven't had any rain for her to try them out on! She also got more craft supplies, a piggy bank, and money to put in it.

Grandmas remembered Avery too:

She loves her Rapunzel hair!

It's pretty crazy that I have a six year old... I remember bringing her home from the hospital wondering why they were letting us leave with her. She sat back there all alone. Now little Elyse is back there being harassed by two big sisters. We love our Bailey!

Ballet Pictures

I didn't get to see the girls dance, but at least I got to see pictures of their beautiful costumes. Here they are during dress rehearsal and the recital:
